WEB DESIGN PROCESS & FAQs

Our talented team will build a website for your business. We will communicate with you to gather all content and insight into what functionality and design would best suit your business.

Once your payment is processed, we will contact you within 24 hrs to:

  • Discuss desired color scheme and logo.

  • Discuss domain name preferences.

  • Go over sample sites that we recommend.

  • Request and review your provided marketing materials.

  • Discuss home page layout requirements, tabs and pages, features, images and graphics ideas.

  • Important: Please note that our team will not be able to begin work on your site until we receive login credentials to domain access (if you are using your own domain) or your permission to register a new domain on our end.

3-5 business days:​

First Mock

Based on the information provided during the consultation call, our developers will design a First Mock—which includes your chosen color scheme, logo, and images—and sends it for approval. If any changes are needed, one round of revisions can be submitted by replying to the email. Important: ONE set of revisions included with First Mock. The client will be required to outline all requested changes in one email. Additional changes submitted following that email will be charged at an hourly rate of $150/hour.

5-10 business days:​

Second Mock

Once the First Mock is approved, we will build out the site and populate it with industry-specific content. We will also provide industry-specific images if none are supplied and send the Second Mock for approval. If any revisions are needed, one round of revisions can be submitted by replying to the email. Important: ONE set of revisions included with Second Mock. The client will be required to outline all requested changes in one email. Additional changes submitted following that email will be charged at an hourly rate of $150/hour.

10-14 business days:

Site Publication

After the deliverables have been submitted, we will complete the look and feel of the site with site optimization tasks.

You are Now Live and on the World Wide Web: You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your website, as well as the contact information of your local digital team and developers. Contact them when changes and updates are required.

 

Important Notes:

The production timeline will be adjusted when additional pages, products, or custom billable hours are added to an order. We need to be directly in contact the business owner or manager via email and/or phone to ensure we deliver on the set timeline. Timelines may vary based on client response.

Client Expectations:

  • Provide images and text content as requested.

  • Provide sample websites (likes and/or dislikes), other design direction during consultation call.

  • Communicate efficiently with us to keep the project on track to meet the set deadlines.

  • Images are an extremely important element to making the website look great. We recommend sending us as many images as possible so that we have a pool of images to choose from. Max 5 files. Zip common files together if more are needed. (Minimum 250px wide, Prefer PNG, Ai, or PSD files)

  • If you'll be linking your social media accounts to your website, please email us your username on all active networks, i.e.: Facebook @yournamehere, Instagram @yourusername, Twitter @yourusername, etc. 

Can we use an already existing domain?

Yes! One of our experts will walk you through the process of redirecting your existing domain name to your new website.

Do you use stock images?

We can provide stock images when requested. However, we recommend using professional images of the business, product, etc. to create more personalized website. If you are need of professional photography in the Austin, Texas area, please contact us and we can set something up for you. If you're outside of the Austin area, you will be required to to submit your own hi-resolution photos or you can use the stock images we select for you.

Are there any hidden fees? What's not included in the $755 I just paid?

There are no hidden fees on our end. The only thing not included is an e-commerce store. Additional fees you may need to address are with your domain registration company, host, and/or a website design platform like Wix, Squarespace, or Wordpress. We can walk you through the process of registering for all of these third party allies. The approximate average fees you can expect to pay are between $5 and $25 per month, depending on who we host and register with. One of our experts will show you all of your best options in the initial email. 

Can you create an e-commerce store for me?

Yes! However, this costs an additional $250 minimum. The price varies widely depending on the amount of products and/or services we are listing for you. If you only have 5-10 products to sell, we can create a store and the listings for around $250. If you have hundreds of items to sell, that is a time-intensive project. Please contact us for a quote.

Will you be able to make edits to my site in the future?

Yes! We are happy to do that for you. Small edits, such as replacing a photo or adding a paragraph here or there, are free for the first 3 updates. Big edits, such as changing the look and feel of your site, adding/replacing a ton of content, adding store items, etc. are potentially available. Just email us what you need done and, if we're able to help, we will respond with an hourly or project rate proposal. If you don't hear back from us right away, it's not that we don't love you--it's because we're swamped with other projects at the moment.

Will I be in direct contact with the designer of my website?

Absolutely! You will have direct access to your personal designer via phone and email.

I'm in a hurry and need a website ASAP. Can you rush my turn time?

At times, we absolutely can move you to the front of the line for an additional $200. Other times, it's simply not possible. Please contact us with your due date and we'll let you know if we can make it happen.

I love your work. Do you have an affiliate or referral program?

Thank you! And yes, we do! Refer someone our way, and if they become a website design client, we'll give you $100. If they become a social media client, we'll give you $200. Thanks again!
